Thinking back...

Before joining this site about 2 weeks ago, I had a goal of eating 750 calories a day. However, I was not keeping a food journal, nor was I satisfied with my progress. My weight loss progress did occasionally stall out.

I can see, now that I am keeping one, that I am losing weight. I can also see that I was probably far off on some days' intake. It is also clear that I could probably increase the calories I am eating and still lose weight. However, when the cold weather comes I will probably not be able to exercise as much. So I will take a wait-and-see position on that. I would indeed like to reach my goal by the holiday season.

How easily we deceive ourselves...

I think it is great that you are motivated and realize how important it is to know what you're eating. However, I don't think it is ever safe to eat 750 calories as an everyday goal. You should really try to aim for no less than 1200-1400. I know we all have random days when we don't eat as much, but I think 750 as a rule is a little dangerous and can actually lead to no weight loss as your body goes into starvation mode. Good luck, and stay motivated to be healthy :)
