I wish ppl who "say" they are following Atkins would learn to do it the right way and stop playing games. When they "say" they are "doing Atkins" on their profile, yet they are eating Honey Nut Cheerios, clearly they are not "doing Atkins". (rolls eyes) No wonder you lost only four pounds in nine months! I say this bc so many ppl come here for advice and to get ideas. Isn't is confusing for newbies who see contradictory content on other professing low carbers profiles? Either learn to do it the right way and make it happen OR change the name of your eating-plan. You give those of us who do it right a bad rap. Someone will look at your stats and say "Atkins clearly doesn't work"....when it does --- but you are so completely far from following it. Okay, rant over.... (((steps off of soap box))))

Had considered changing my diet description to Low GI instead of Atkins, but heard the change messes up your record. Any ideas?

While I agree with you, I try to understand that maybe that person is in a different phase than I'm in, or maybe they're not being strict on following the diet, or maybe they have different weight loss goals than me and don't mind losing 4lbs in 9 months. Every individual is different and apparently what they are doing is what works for them, so kudos to them. I know that for me I in order to lose the amount of weight I want to lose I have to follow the plan very strictly, and that is just works for me. I try to seek out people on here that eat like me and have similar goals, everyone else I don't bother with. It's just what I have to do in order to make this website work for me.

No - I meant saving your record after switching your plan.

Until I find out exactly how it will affect my history I'm not willing to switch. I have my "plan" in my profile, saying I borrow heavily from Atkins...

I have seen other people switch and their history has stayed intact. You can clearly see the progress they had on one way of eating and the time when they converted to another plan. Their older content was not erased.

Plus I think there is a way to export historical data to a file, if you wanted to be doubly sure not to lose any data before switching.

Thanks Erin and Evie. Guess I'll send a message to the FS Tech Dept.

Buffy, once you find out it doesn't change your history let know. Mine still says Atkins but I'm experimenting with something else right now.
