Man o man do I savor those Atkins sweet treats. I eat it nibble by tiny nibble. I don't think of myself as a sugar addict, and I've avoided refined sugars for years, but I do love and long for my sweet sweet fruit. Mangoes, Watermelon, Strawberries, Blueberries, Apples I miss them all. It'll be interesting to see what effects it will have on my weight when I'm done with the Atkins induction phase. There's plenty of fruit I like with a low glycemic load, but I think it's undeniable that my body has become accustomed to having limitless reserves of carbohydrates and sugars for fuel. It's been a fairly miserable shock to my system, but I think I'm getting used to it.
