Keto to Carnivore day 9 ZERO CARBS zero sweeteners, ZERO cheese, only beef and pork : KETO since July 1 2018 My body is clearly not burning my fat. All i can say is i'm trying to stay positive, but i'm not anymore. I tried to do an evisit with my doc yesterday and waited over 2 hours in front of my webcam till 7:30 pm my time with no connect. I canceled. I don't know if it was a problem with evisit or what.

I'm not losing and this is ridiculous. I see many of you eating the same as I am and started the same time keto and you've lost 30 pounds.

I sent a message to the office to see what happened with the evisit. I'll call today to see what i can do. This is really just depressing and every day its getting worse. Thats not how i'm suppose to be repaid for hard work. and I have NOT cheated ONCE.
185.0 lb Lost so far: 45.0 lb.    Still to go: 70.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 07 August 2018:
1218 kcal Fat: 112.99g | Prot: 49.71g | Carb: 0.00g.   Dinner: Omaha Steaks Beef Ribeye Steak, Clarified Butter Ghee. Snacks/Other: Ground Pork. more...
gaining 3.5 lb a week

which protein amounts Mjgh, the 40 to 55 range?? or your range of 30?? I think she should talk to the doctor too. this really has been difficult for her and she is so dedicated to trying to do it right. that is why I suggested the allergy tests, they can give a clue to what is flaring, especially meat, fish, egg and dairy. oils would be nice too since she is going to stay keto. I did the blood tests which is pretty simple, rotational dieting to test things yourself is very hard. one reason I suggested the wild caught salmon.

@Jenjabba it is not off based on normal calculations. I can only give you my experience and what my docs told me. I don't use the normal calculations of fat grams x 9 then divide or protein x4 then divide.... If you are doing keto ...and again(this is just for me from my docs) you are only taking in protein and fat basically. I take the ttl fat and the ttl protein/carbs add them together, then divide each set by the together total to find the daily % value so if you have 50g fat, 46g protein 2g carb = 50 + 48 = 98, 50/98 = 51%, 48/98 = 49% of the daily intake not of the caloric intake. But I do it this way because I have to monitor my protein intake with my kidney function. I don't have to monitor my calories because I am not doing a CICO woe. It makes a big difference in the end calculation as you can see.

Ugh....

@Baskington for normal, healthy people the 40-55 range.

that is what I wrote is normal on the keto charts for non physical folks. I was wondering if you were suggesting lower, I guess. I know keto is lower than federal guidelines for women.

way over my head too. I am just sorry there are no quick easy solutions for immune issues. I have tons of those myself right now so I understand the frustrations.

Didn't you say you started taking some hormones just recently? If so, these might skew your results. Also, have you looked at the insulin index? Some foods spike insulin release and it's not just carby foods. Like beef scores almost as high as lentils. There's an answer somewhere... I know you're extremely frustrated but good for you for not throwing in the towel!

Trackin64 FASwpT Yup, i'm on Hormone Cream from NO progesterone, low estrogen and almost no testosterone. I've been on since 18th of July. Also taking vit D, selenium, multi, B complex, sodium and potassium from light salt. No ovaries. This all started when i lost my ovaries about 4 years ago. No matter what i do, i'm so stuck. As for spiking insulin, yup i know all about that, any protein can spike it. But i would think fasting 18 hours like i do most days, and only eating in my window, and now eating fatty cuts of meat, with the "recommended" amount of protein for someone my height yaya. You would think if any spike , it would be minimal since my fat intake is high too. Some say cut the fat, some say cut the protein, some say add protein, lol some say add fat. whaaaat everrrrrrr. HAHA, no one really knows. Everyone thinks they do. We can all just try and share experiences and maybe there is something i haven't tried. (only think i got left is long term fasting to try and i know i wouldn't make it ) OR i can UP my exercise from walking about 2 miles a day to lifting etc, but I'm hesitant to do that because exercise in the past WIPES me OUT from the autoimmune. I'm also sleeping regularly, so that shouldn't be the cause either. And "Thyroid" tested NORMAL, but that is one thing i haven't tried adding. "desiccated thyroid" I didn't want to add that without being instructed by the doc, but if i don't hear from him by the end of the week, i will try it. My case should be documented frankly, to help others that run into this problem. He should pay me for my info hahahahaha.

@Jenjabba totally agree none of us knows the answer except what has worked for us individually. That is why it is so important to have your doctor on board. If he/she is worth their salt, they will sit down with you, hear everything you have tried and done, and then recommend what your macros should be for your health and weight loss. If they won't do that, get another specialist that will.

I’m also a diabetic I went from a 6.8 A1C to a 5.9 in 5 weeks started the intermitting fast 1 week ago i usually go to bed around 10pm get up at 5:30 am have kiddos at daycare/school no later than 7 :00am start work at 8:00am work till (I fast during this entire time)6:00pm have supper ready and done 8:30pm eat and repeat. I do as low carbs as I can with a family of 4 my youngest just turned 1 and my oldest at home just turned 7. I aim for 1150 cal per day! I have seemed to hit a plateau. Can’t seem to break out of the 170s any thoughts!? Thanks in advanced I also did have a wedding recently where yes my carbs in moscato wine went overboard!

Thank you all so much for your input. I don't dismiss any of it! It is a puzzle, and i will find the key! Mabels, i'm not a diabetic. my A1c was low 5 last few times i tested and that was before keto. Congrads on the WEDDING! You'll break that plateau!
