Well, It was one month yesterday that I began to "take it down" again! I am please to report 10 pounds lost!!!! It has been an HUGE challenge for me esp, since I struggle to see much weight come off for about 12 days. Plus watching the scale go up and down 3 pounds both ways. I felt myself become discourged several times. I wanted to give up. This is just plain HARD work.
This past week I joined the boys and Kelly in biking. The first night of biking my youngest son who is 11 says, "Mom, I've never seen you on a bike." "Yes, It's been along time." :) The first night I biked 15mins. I was huffing and puffing!! The next two night of biking were critical. They were the MOST difficult. My oldest son on the third night told me to push through then go 20 seconds longer after I felt I couldn't push through anymore. I did that! I think it was the turning point of my weight lose journey.
I ate "normal" yesterday day. I weighed in this morning. I was up three pounds. So again I have my work cut at for me this week!!! I am seeing that this is the way it is for me in losing weight. I seem to retain alot of water from day to day. I've been trying to drink about 100 fluid oz. of water each day. I think this is helping.
I want to close with something I read this morning from an Olympian Runner. I was inspired this morning by the testimony of Oscar Pistorious from South Africa. He is the 1st double-amputee to run in the Olympics. Wow! He did AMAZING! His dream to make it to the semi-finals came true for him despite the critics!!! He has been an incrediable inspiration to all. He encourages those he comes in contact with these simple but deep words. "Don't accept your limits". He is living proof of this statement. I want to have this mind set in my weight lose journey. I'm detrmine to "take it down" and I won't accept my limits!!!
