Angel23235's Journal, 02 August 2012

I have been dieting for almost half of my life. I am so tired of doing fast and fad diets.

From this day on, I will be changing my outlook on getting thinner and healthier. Rather than a fast way out like fad diets, I will be eating healthier and doing more exercise instead.

So first step is to change my eating habits. I really love to cook so I will incorporate this with my new lifestyle. I am going to cook low calorie meals for myself! I am sure I will have fun doing this.hopefully cross fingers X *o* X

Also, I am going to move more!!! Snails are faster than me! :))

Starting weight: 235 lbs.

hi. if you keep up that positive outlook, and disciplined attitude about the process, you are guaranteed to meet your weight goals. just make sure you log everything you eat in your food diary (except if it's like water or a no-calorie beverage). I can tell you from personal experience that just changing your eating habits and getting out for 20-30 minutes of any form of exercise, even kicking a ball around at the park or walking, you will see results. you being able to cook should give you an upper hand because the healthiest food is the one you can prepare if you learn portions and measuring ingredients so you know exactly the amount of macro-nutrients (calories from fat, carbs, or protein) that you have consumed.

Hi Mark13! thank you for your support and tips. I plan to do all those you said so that I can stick it out not for a short time but for a very very long time! I want to lose 100lbs because for my height which is 5'4. I need to be at least 135 so that I can have a normal BMI. Do you think this is not good? Well, the 100 pounds is more like my ultimate goal but for now, I am setting a 10 pound weight lose for myself first. I think smaller goals are easier to achieve! :)

Snails may be faster than you, but just remember if you are out there moving you are lapping everyone still sitting on their couch! Breaking your goals down is a great way to keep yourself motivated without becoming discouraged. wishing you the best!
