GlennM's Journal, 27 April 2010

Doing well, I went for a mile long walk yesterday. It was a weird day yesterday, everyone around me seemed moody and crabby and I wasn't. Anyway, my classmate who graduated with me and it was thought he died felling a tree - he actually died of a heart attack on his property in the Berkshires according to his wife from the autopsy report it stated in the newspaper. He led a successful life as a businessman, veteran, worker and foster dad and father to his own children. His wife said he'd been complaining of chest pain recently - so it is always important for men especially to get checked out if they're having any problems as they often avoid going to the doctor. It's cloudy this morning but it may clear up a bit today, I don't know if it does I will go out for a long walk. Today I will do laundry perhaps and write. I have to buy some Splenda (generic) for sweetening things when I get my next check. I hope everyone has a good day - exercise if you all can it helps get that weight off faster! :)

The weather is a bit strange here to but I'm also looking forward to doing some exercise today. Friends and old acquaintances are so important, in my own experience while meaning to get back to one of my own he also died of a heart attack at a very young age. Those jokes will never be told again, that special communication is lost forever.

Info - I hadn't seen this classmate since high school. His life story was on the front page of the local paper this morning. He and his wife were foster parents to some 78 different children during his life - he died at age 47, so he puts some of these celebrities to shame in that department and he wasn't doing it to garner publicity, he did it to be a good person. I don't have my yearbook, I sort of recognize him, I didn't have my picture taken then anyway and there's no picture of me in there the four years I was in school except on a distant hillside at an outing with two other classmates, so you can't even tell who it is. At least if I ever get to be a successful writer there are no nerdy high school photos of me floating around... since I haven't seen this classmate since high school I won't go to the wake, etc. as I remember his name well, but not him particularly well...
