I was sick for a month with bladder infection, needing two rounds of antibiotic, then, when that cleared up viral flu, took tamiflu and am still coughing and phlegmy two weeks later For the past several weeks, all I wanted to eat was starch and sweets. I tried to moderate things, but inactivity /bed rest and bad eating put on 7 lbs.
Blood sugar on Sunday was 206 on waking up. That scared me. I really put on the brakes and it was 107 by lunch, 110 at midnight, 128 this morning. My weight went down 3 lbs immediately but it was still high. The weight above was this mornings. The remaining cold symptoms will clear up sooner when I am eating right. My noon blood sugar today was 98. I told myself my blood sugar was high because I was sick, but I think I was making myself more liable to be sick by eating incorrectly.
190.0 lb Lost so far: 8.0 lb.    Still to go: 48.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
