schmetterling34's Journal, 16 July 2012

Geeh, I just realised how long I have not made an entry (always too busy reading other journals ;) )

Had a mega indulgence weekend! Well I thought I needed a spike day LOL
The pie (chicken & chorizo) had 638kcal on its own. Then I decided I had to do some baking: Kaesekuchen (baked cheesecake), luckily I only made half the recipe & his kids came on sunday to help us eat it.

Now its monday & I am back on track, well so far anyway.

Yesterday was st swithens day. according to tradition the weather on this day will continue for 40 days. Time to break traditions!!!!
For once it didn't rain yesterday, there were dark clouds looming, but the sun poked its head out too, the evening was gloriously sunny. we were outside til it got dark :). AND TODAY ITS RAINING AGAIN :( , if this weather continues .......I don't know, hope its not getting as bad as in Japan. But our poor baby pheasants won't really stand a chance. Once they get wet, they get cold, prone to infection..... :(
I can only hope that the weather will change.

Bought a really thick body warmer on saturday (in July) & I am wearing it now. there was no mirror in the shop, but i liked it. when I got home I tried it on again & I look like a barrel on sticks!!! But I don't care, I am warm :)

Hope you all have a great day, appreciate warmth & sunshine!!!!

What? No mirror in the shop? How unusual! I have been reading about lots of over indulgences this morning. So we (you & I) are not the only ones. Let's get on track together! The sun is hot here! I should head out for my walk soon. The cheese cake sounds "wunderbar."

Do you make the airy German Quark kind of cheesecake or the dense New York style cheesecake? I'm trying to visualize your indulgence and this question is killing my buzz. As long as you had an indulgence day, I hope it was every bit as satisfying as an indulgence day should be.

I tried to make the airy quark cake, but it collapsed & ended up being a bit dense.....but it was still sooooo good. next time i shall read the recipe right & not for get the vanille pudding LOL.
