Hmmmm, why is it so difficult to gauge what (better excactly how much) you eat when someone else cooks for you? LB got his slow cooker out on sunday & made a wicket curry with pheasant breast, which we had last night. So good, but how many calories did I really eat? I tend to overestimate slightly & it would have been an ok meal if I had left the naan alone. But that is just part of a decent curry!? At least I was in charge of dishing up...so he got the bigger portion & there is still plenty left. My turn tonight.....there will be a big Tina salad & something.
Happy days :)

I have not had pheasant in a long time but I recall that it had an "oily" taste. The important fact is that you remained aware of your food intake.

It is tough to track when someone else cooks for you. I do most of the cooking at home, but the spouse made salmon and broccoli the other night. Christ only knows how much butter went into all of that. Let me add that I am jealous. The growing Indian population in my area is only now starting to assert itself with restaurants in the area, so curry is a relatively new discovery for me. That makes it quite a treat. If you'd like to split your portion the next time LB gets the slow cooker out -- you know, for dietary purposes -- I'd be more than happy to help you out with that. Just send it FedEx!

LOL ...JOELAE....I make A TINA salad....its a huge salad with everything I can find in it.....never much space for anything else.
Wiener4: pheasant hasn't got an 'oily' taste. Its a game bird, the ones we get have been raised in the local hills. Its a bit like chicken...just darker, slightly stroner tasting meat :)
Blue: you can count on it although it will be DHL delivering it....i got an account with them ;)

I like the new profile image. For some zany reason it reminds me of the musical film "Fiddler on the Roof." Go figure. Maybe that was duck I had that was so oily. Long time ago! I am glad you enjoyed the pheasant.
