So, looking outside at the rain this morning is not pumping me up for the 5K tomorrow. It's supposed to be the same tomorrow and now I'm just ready to get it over with. I really hope it's not too bad or maybe we get a break from the rain for at least part of it. The other 5Ks I've done have all been beautiful, so this will be a different experience.
5K aside, I did have a mindset change this morning. I was looking in the mirror and took some measurements and while some of my measurements have gone down, my arms are the same. I have always had flabby chicken wings, so this isn't surprising. I was being really critical of myself and did they "why am I not losing anything?" thing, when I realized that I should be proud of what I have done for myself, not criticizing one thing that I don't like. So I ran through all of the positive things I've been doing for myself, like eating better, exercising, taking more time for me, and it made me feel better. I've decided if anyone else looks at my arms as flabby and has an opinion, that's on them, but I know I've been working hard and I'm proud of myself for the work I've put in thus far. The people I care about the most don't care if my arms are big, or my stomach isn't flat, so who cares what anyone else sees on the outside, they don't know the work that I'm doing to keep myself healthy.
