I see that 200 is NOT going down with out a fight. It still feels pretty swell to have lost after yesterday. For one thing we went to the movies with our nephew that is visiting from out of town. It was rather impropmtu and I have been avoiding the theater because of the pull of the popcorn. I tried a new technique-called an "if-then statement" to get me through it and it really worked. My statement was "If my sister gets popcorn, then I will sit 2 chairs down from her so it is out of my reach and my sight." She DID get a big bag of corn-not knowing that we wouldn't be eating it and I sat at the end with my husband and nephew between us. I hardly noticed the corn and only found myself missing it-vaguely-a few times. Worked pretty well. We did go out to a restaurant to eat afterwards because the nephew didn't have a car and is allergic to cats so couldn't eat at our houses. So to have gone to the movies, eaten out at a restaurant, and down even a little feels like a win to me. Maybe tomorrow I can get into One-derland?
Meanwhile, if you think using the "if-when" statements might help you out with food/exercise habits, check out this little article I found about them.

"The best part is that by detecting situations and directing behavior without conscious effort, if-then plans are far less taxing and require less willpower than mere resolutions. They enable us to conserve our self-control strength for when it's really needed, and compensate for it when we don't have enough. Armed with if-thens, you can tell your fickle friend willpower that this year, you really won't be needing him."

Sounds like a great idea! Also, I've found that by following my keto plan to eat when I'm hungry, I just don't feel the need to mindlessly eat just because I'm in the theater. I hope it helps you as well. But, if you do feel like you'll need something, some people take bacon to munch on for the salty flavor.

I sure could have used that statement yesterday. Good for you for making it work I will be trying this method today.
