D1srupta's Journal, 08 August 2016

I went a little over maintenance yesterday, but that is okay because this week will be a lower than average daily intake so it will more than even out.

I will say that this diet is... more expensive than the Ketogenic diet... eating lean meats is a lot more expensive than their fattier counterparts. I am opting to purchase what is on sale and then throwing it in the freezer for future consumption to help ease that sticker shock.

I broke my fast with a small amount of peanuts earlier today and I will now get some cooking done to have a tasty, healthy meal. The change in carb intake has definitely allowed a lot more options than I would had otherwise had, which is making eating much more enjoyable overall. The watermelon has been great, but I didn't luck out this time when I went to the store so I opted for some apples. Higher volume for less calories is what I am aiming for on my lower calorie days to help me keep satisfied.
