Good Mon. Morning, FS buddies
I have this little voice this morning that is telling me:
"WOW, you weigh one sixth of a TON!!!"
But I MUST NOT listen to that voice...Instead I must think:
My current weight is BETTER than weighing ONE FOURTH of a TON (FEB.2009)
AND I lost 4 lbs. this past week.
Going to make a definite decision to IGNORE the negative
voices (and people) and keep on MOVING FORWARD.
Next Monday, by God's grace and with YOUR help, I will
be LESS than one sixth of a ton...:) Have a week filled with healthy choices and affirming people!!!!!
334.0 lb Lost so far: 40.0 lb.    Still to go: 94.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You can do this! I started out nearly at a quarter ton, so I understand your struggle. The only thing that matters is tenacity, the fact of being determined. You are correct, cut the negativity out of your presence. Pay it no mind my friend. What negative people don't know, is this type of journey can't be competed by a weak person. So be strong. Stay the course. Only bend when you have to, but never break. Be an inspiration to someone who sees your effort, that you may not ever communicate with otherwise. I'm with you brother. Maintain your tenacity. Be determined. Stay strong.

Only listen to the positive voices! I struggle with this too; one minute I hear a voice telling me I'm doing good...slow and steady, and then BAM! I hear myself saying how did you let yourself get so fat? So frustrating. We can't change what has happened, but we can change how we move forward! You are doing great buddy, and I know that soon you will be amazed at what you accomplish!

Cognitive retraining - its as big a battle as the weight loss, but it sounds like you have a plan and know what negativity to avoid. Good for you!
