I've got my green, orange, red list on my phone, this should be easy, right?

Tamarah Jo What I mean by green, orange, red list is there are three lists on the diet. Green is unlimited food, orange or Ok but in limited quantity, and red is bad

Not unlimited. I have been Banting for 3 months and I was stuck on my weight. If you really want to lose weight, try to get the carbs below 25g a day and no dairy. My husband lost 10kg in 1 month. Don't forget to drink s lot too (water / tea). Be careful that vegetables are also rich in carbs, so pay attention to amounts. This app helps a lot to count the carbs. Lost 3 kgs in 1 week thanks to FatSecret. It has helped me realize what I was doing wrong. Good luck! P.S. The secret is a high fat breakfast. 😉

High fat meaning like, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc?

That too. I realized that meat or fish, as well as fats are nearly 0 carbs. A good Banting breakfast is bacon (maximum 100g=6 slices), 2 fried eggs, a bullet coffee (espresso with a tsp of coconut oil). I add 4/5 cherry tomatoes.

what she mentions about the carbs worked for me too, I just eat simple carbs at lunch, my breakfast is mainly protein and good fats, dinner protein and vegetable but low carb vegetables. so no brocoli, coliflower for dinner. sometimes I skip the simple carbs for lunch and eat a good salad including brocoli and in 3 weeks I´ve lost 6 pounds.

Be careful to not eat to much protein, keep your ratios 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs. If you log everything you eat into fatsecret the pie chart at the bottom give you the percentages which is very handy.

Remember buddies that the gold isn't only loose weight but to be healthy too. Fat from meat can be full of cholesterol. A protein diet can be harmfull for liver. A diet that privilege fat over carbs can not be sustained for long time. Always think that you want to be leaner for a long time and for that you have to eat a balanced diet but reduced amount.
