Sandy701's Journal, 07 July 2012

3.9 miles walked this morning, just 'cuz I felt like it. I made a math mistake in my head and thought it was going to be 3.8. Had I realized it was 3.9, I could have added one little extra loop and made it an even 4 miles, but oh well.

Very warm and humid and mostly sunny. Lots of sweat; UGH Index a 10.

When I got back, I did some maintenance that was needed on our pool and then hopped in - felt GREAT!!!!

The rest of the day looks to be nice and lazy.

BTW, this last pound is positively GLUED to my body!!! In that video interview of Dr. Westman I journaled about yesterday, he said something to the effect that "...your body knows when to stop." Perhaps it does.....at least for now.

Oh I bet that pool did fee good this morning! Maybe in this heat it is just as well you didn't do that last loop. You can always swim that extra tenth of a mile. Now, don't fret - some day you'll wake up and that last pound will be gone.

That's true Buffy....one of these days, it WILL be gone. There are a few foods I've eaten that I know I'm a bit more sensitive to, so I can always cut them out and see if that might be the answer. Just want to be sure I'm at goal BEFORE going on vacation. Vacation will NOT be a blow-out, but there WILL be certain very specific, limited, indulgences.

You deserve a nice relaxing afternoon following your hot walk this morning. I know what you mean about rounding out the mileage on your walk. I am like that too. We sometimes walk the "nature trail" at our community college. The distance is .8 of a mile. Why not add .2 more to the paved track? Oh well. I compensate by making more laps. have a great rest of the weekend!

You'd certainly think that the planners of that nature walk would have done an extra twist or turn somewhere along the way to make it an even mile, just to make it easier on the eventual users! But maybe the extra pavement wasn't in the budget! LOL!

You are amazing with the length you walk, I'm jealous. Bet the pool felt really great after all that sweating, sounds delightful to me.

Notfast.....in heat like this, there's really nothing better than a pool!

I totally believe your body will stop when it needs to. Would love to have a pool.

Sandy, you may just find that once you stop trying to lose that last pound, it might disappear on its own. It's like couples that try so hard for months to get pregnant then go on holiday only to find themselves expecting when they return! ;^) I think our bodies have their own agenda, and you've done so incredibly well with your weight loss, perhaps yours is just taking a break. Have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy your pool!
