My weight stayed the same this week and while I was disappointed it made me even more determined to stay on this journey. I was listening to T.D. Jakes on Sunday and he talked about our thoughts and how every success and failure starts with a thought. My thoughts about this journey is that I'm on it until I reach my healthy lifestyle goal. Right now the journey is up hill, but I know things will level off soon. I am praying it will for you as well. Be encouraged.

Diet Calendar Entry for 06 February 2012:

Thanks for the encouragement... just what I need right now!! Sounds like we're both sort of 'status quo' right now, but there may be one difference... you said you're on the journey 'until you reach your goal.' I feel more like this is my path of health now, instead of a detour until I reach the right road again. Life is uphill, always, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a battle... Should be fun if we have friends to join us. Have a great week!! <3

Please stay encouraged. Only recently did I start including my new eating and life style change in my prayers. I felt food was something I should be able to handle but he wasnts me to cast all my burdens on him and for me food was a burden, that is making the right choices, eating for nutrion not for bordem or emotional eating. So now when I say I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, it includes healthy eating choices. Im ok with acknowledging that I need his strenght to leave those oreos on the shelf and purchase strawberries and apples instead! Thank you ladies for being here and I know he wants us to keep each other encouraged!

Hang in there, keep those thoughts positive! You can do this! You've been doing it! Look how far you've come... Give yourself some credit for hanging in there. Making changes, healthier choices, isn't easy, we are surrounded by temptations and convenience. The world isn't diet friendly. So don't beat yourself up because even though the scale didn't move, guess what? it didn't move up either, right? So steady as she goes is much better than a gain. Hope you have an awesome week!

Attitude is important on this journey and your positive attitude will get you to your goal and beyond. Plus your optimism is infectious and ministers to myself and others on this journey as well. Lifestyle changes aren't easy. Most of us have been living an unhealthy lifestyle for years. But each small step forward will change us and happily bring us to our destination.
