Leftover salmon for lunch today...did horrible yesterday and had too many carbs. Paying the price today with a migraine. Trying to look at it as a positive that I'm on the right track with Keto/LCHF and just need to refocus and be more disciplined. Two steps forward...only one step back. Still forward progress!

@zee avi - Not Atkins but rather Ketogenic diet which is Low Carb/High Fat (LCHF) and moderate protein unlike Atkins which is high protein.

Is dairy allowed on Keto diet? Cream or cheese?

@Tracey115 - Absolutely! I have cream and cheese daily...they are perfect Keto foods (low Carb, high fat). I use heavy cream in my coffee instead of sugary flavored creamers. And I love cheese and it's probably my #1 go to snack...

That's great! I love cream in my coffee or whole milk if I don't have half & half or heavy cream. I'd like to try Keto diet. I have 35 lbs to lose.

I think the fact that you can get back on track is encouraging. Yum salmon for lunch. I wonder if you should not add a little fat with this--cream cheese.

@Tracey115 - I'd definitely recommend trying the Ketogenic diet...I'm still just in the beginning stashed but I feel better than I can ever remember. And eating great food and losing weight in the process! @Farm Gal 50 - I wasn't super hungry because of the headache so I just ate it plain, but it was covered in sour cream the other night when it was dinner and that was delicious! Plus I had some guacamole egg salad shortly after to boost my fat intake for the day. :-)

Thanks! Definitely going to try it! I feel my biggest obstacle will be giving up chocolate 🍫 😊 I have always used cream and whole fat dairy 🥛and moderate protein. Oh, soda will be another challenge. Love my Pepsi, Coke & Dr. Pepper! I'm not crazy about avocados 🥑 but I can learn to like them. Eggs are good.
