superchic7883's Journal, 23 January 2012

I had a good weekend and I'm so happy to write that I have not checked my weight in 4 days and I'm so proud of myself!!!! 3 more days and I can get on that scale again! Taking the batteries out helped a lot!! I just can deal with the anxiety of every day weigh ins. The losses put me on cloud 9 but even a normal fluctuation in weight gets me very depressed. Not weighing in leaves me wondering but its less of an emotional rollercoaster. I am also happy to write that I went to a girls luncheon on Sat and worked out like a maniac that morning, ate a healthy snack before I went and barely had an appetite!! Dips are my weakness so I allowed myself some small samplings but I would by no means say I overindulged! The worst part was prob the 4 mixed drinks I had but the punch was made w crystal lift so only the actual alcohol had calories. I don't usually drink alcohol.....or calories at all for that matter but I wanted to relax a little! Took Sunday off from the gym mostly because of time constraints but I had been several days in a row and wanted to rest my body. Plus my daughter and neice woke up at 3am (they are both 3) and decides to not go back to bed and have a raging party which resulted in a very cranky and tired me!!! I did get back to the gym this morning though and went at it hard again! My heart rate would reach 190 on the elliptical three short weeks ago and now today doing interval training on the elliptical my HR maxed at 165 which means my heart is adjusting! I'm so happy!!

I'm very proud of you, on all of the above. Great job. I know taking the batteries out of the scale is not easy for you, but I'm happy for you that you did it and it is working. Congratulations on the heart rate too, says you're already reaping the benefits of a healthier lifestyle. Way to go.
