Sooo...I was bad and didn't start my non smoking journey yet. But this is the start of holding myself accountable. I bought two packs yesterday and they cost way too much so I will not be doing that again. It's gunna be a rough week but I'm going away next week and with all non smokers. That will be helpful...I've been really good with eating though, went to a buffet and didn't finish one whole plate or dessert. And didn't have bread with dinner tonight (that's very hard for me). So we will see this week how well I do. I'm going to start my yoga this week too...hopefully I bring my yoga gear to the mountains too. If I have time between fishing and cooking for my three boys. We will see...but I'm feeling positive!

Good luck. I feel for anybody quitting. It's been 6 years for me now and I still feel its draw every once in a while. Both my kids smoke and I hate it. I don't harp on it, but i recommend it sometimes. Being with the non smokers will help. I don't allow anyone to bring a cig or any other tobacco in my house.

I just quit, it was really hard but now I drink tea every time I want a cigarette. I am drinking oceans of tea....

Ladygoblyn: I've quit twice, once for two years and once for a year when I was pregnant 9 years ago. It sucks lol and my 9 year old wants me to quit so bad, so I'm not only doing it for me but for him too. But it's going to be hard... Cclarkego: ugh, I wish I was a daily tea drinker...I may become one. I'm a heavy coffee drinker and cigarettes go with coffee. That's going to be the hardest part :( Thank you both for your support, you have no clue how much I appreciate it.

You can do it. And once you don't pick up that one cigarette that you crave and think about something else, you will be so happy with yourself. And you are right, a very expensive habit. When I quit, I started putting away the money I would have spent on cigarettes into a savings account. When I lose my goal weight...Vegas here I come!!

Yay for not eating bread at dinner! A nice way to get the week off right ☺

What a great idea to put away the money you are saving by not smoking. At a pack a day, after a year, that equals $2,520. There is airfare for Hawaii for me. Thanks!
