Man, I am retaining water something fierce in this recent heat. I've visibly lost weight, but I feel all awkwardly bloaty, my wedding ring is vaguely tight, etc.
I haven't put any weight back on, fortunately, but I'm also not dropping it like a madman like I was at the start, which is to be expected. I'm kind of hovering in that "nothing has really changed" valley. But so long as I don't gain back, that's okay!

The heat is a killer, for sure. It sounds counter-intuitive, but if you're retaining water, drink more water. Your body is trying to make sure you stay hydrated, and if you send in lots of water, it will release it.

I have been having bloating problems too. Lymphatic massage helps with water retention...easy self help method. And I have heard that cranberry juice helps by having diuretic properties (though can be high sugar in juice). Potassium rich foods like potatoes, bananas, and spinach help excrete body salts so reduce water as well. So if water is not fun, water rich foods are good (fruits and veggies).
