50 hours into a 96 hour fast.......ain't nuttin but a thang!


I am feeling pretty good right now, no issues! I plan to continue this fast till 5pm Wednesday and I really feel like I will have no problem getting there. Kinda excited to see what my Wednesday morning weigh-in will be! Drinking plenty of water, a blend of black and green tea, no sweetener of any type, some iced coffee with a teaspoon of vanilla extract in it. Taking no supplements at the present time, I have magnesium in the event I do get crampy but don't need it as of yet.

I just finished reading Jason Fung's "The Obesity Code". It was a pretty decent read, but I realized after several chapters that I had already read the whole thing in his Intensive Dietary Management Blog, at least he is consistent! I had seen so many of his videos that I could hear him talking in my mind all the way through the book. That made me giggle! Well everything is making me giggle right this moment, except for the heat, when I walked through the front door the thermometer said it was 102.7 on my front porch...YIKES! That's August heat, not June! One more reason to hydrate...needless to say, I won't be going outside till nearly dark today! You folks have a good evening!

You go girl - I want to hear how Wednesday morning goes for you. I'm reading The Obesity Code right now. I can hear him talking as I read it too, kind of funny! But it all makes sense to me - keep that insulin low!

Thanks Frankie! I'm pumped! I have no idea if I will do well or not, I'm hoping though, I really really want to make it below the 200 lb mark by the end of June and it just seems so freakin stubborn!! I'm throwing everything I can at it!

Ohhh Ohhhh DEB. BE SURE to remember Electrolytes. Or you will end up breaking the fast early like I had to. Potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium. DO NOT neglect them. You will end up with REALLY bad spasms if you do.

I'm adding a pinch of sea salt to my water jugs Knuckles, with my condition (ostomy) magnesium makes me have accidents so I am going to put that off as long as I can, after all of the avocados I have been eating lately, not worried about my Potassium at all :)

Ok, as long as you are aware. I didn't want for you to suffer Like I have in the past. for your ostomy did they let you keep any of your Descending? Or did they take it all?

Nah, I have a sigmoid colostomy and I irrigate so I don't have to wear a bag...hence the reason for being leery of accidents!!

Ahhh, rock on. Man I had a friend that used to Outgas his bag when we were not paying attention. He almost died a couple times from it. lol. Not from the bag but because we almost killed him. lol.

LOL, the Nah was for them taking it all...BTW I lost about 4 inches of colon is all. I seem to be a teensy bit hyperactive....

That is great Debra! Keep going, Wednesday will come and go like that. Time flies fast after 21. So it seems. How's the cows? How's the foot?

Still got a cut on the top but it's healing, bruises gone, wrenched ankle pain didn't even make it to the next morning...now the only thing hurt is my pride....one of my neighbors saw it and was teasing me about it at the PO....said he wished he had a video camera! LOL

LMAO Knuckles....before I stopped drinking sodas a few years back, I had that issue, thing would swell up like a personal flotation device...so glad those days are dead and gone!

Actually Smarty, I am high.....and wired......probably should cut down on the caffinated beverages after 6 pm......I was feeling great till I tried to get my mom to read this D**m book....grrrrrrrr

Magnesium is good for you. You'd be wise to take some daily anyway. It's exceptional for heart health. It's also go to on crash carts for heart attacks. No calories in magnesium.

By the way... nearly dark here is 10:30 PM. It's light around 4:00 AM. Gotta love it!
