Sandy701's Journal, 03 October 2011

Well, it's Monday and time to get back on track. No, I'm not talking about making up for a wild, off-plan weekend....just talking about getting back to a more normal routine.

So, let's start with exercise...3.1 miles walked today with both doggies because it was only in the 50's when we went out. Sunny, cool, breezy, perfect shorts/sweatshirt/fleece vest weather!

Yesterday, my foods were wa-a-a-y off schedule and I'm paying the price. Ate breakfast way too early due to trying out an earlier church service. Then, was way too hungry before lunch was even going to begin cooking, so ate peanuts. When will I learn??? It probably didn't help that I started off the day more tired than usual. Ate a normal smallish Sunday lunch, so that was fine. Then, I got a stomach ache that just wouldn't quit; I suspect the peanuts.

The timing of the concert was a bit of a problem...we were leaving too early for me to really eat dinner but I didn't want to go without eating something, so opted for the Atkins bar. Stomach ache went away after I ate the Atkins bar. Then the concert - which was GREAT, BTW - ran a lot longer than either DH or I expected, so we ended up having "dinner" close to 11 PM! We were both hungry then and didn't want to go to bed that way.

Both of us ended up really hungry this morning; figure that one out.

So, I'm quite thankful to go back to a more normal routine (without peanuts) and see how my body readjusts.

If anyone likes contemporary Christian music, I can heartily recommend seeing Jeremy Camp and Francesca Battistelli live in concert if they come your way. Most excellent!

I just had to giggle while reading your entry. I had trouble keeping any kind of food schedule this last weekend too! We try to adapt, but it sure does feel good to get back on track! Glad your tummy ache went away! Monday's motto - Back on Track!

GG...And I'm one of those that does much better when I'm in a nice, familiar rut! Sad and boring, but true! So, hopefully, we'll both settle back into our routines and our bodies will be much happier for it!

Some days are like that in spite of our best intentions. But am positive it won't take you long to lose any weight you may have put on yesterday. BTW DH cannot eat peanuts because they upset his tummy every time.

Seems like my life is full of those days. Sometimes I really can't be bothered to eat....not good at all then all thrown off....I have one of those days it seems like every other day.....I love peanuts and they are such an easy little snack, I just weigh out an ounce to tide me over.......Back on track should be my motto...LOL
