I hate looking at pictures of myself... today we had the opportunity to have a grandparents tea party with our youngest 3 grandkids at their preschool, our oldest granddaughter was there taking pictures...I thought I was looking good...but the only thing I see is a fat face...not long ago someone reminded me that we are our own worst critic and it is true... I have beat myself up over and over and then think about what I could eat tonight...However, I have now calm down and I am telling myself how to solve this problem...one way to fix my round face is to continue on my mission...So no shrimp po-boy or French fries....will celebrate with veggies...

Can also relate. We just recently uploaded and printed off some photos from our anniversary trip last Spring and I realized looking at the photos that I was so much bigger than I thought I was. I thought to myself "There's no way I was that big!" I mean,I didn't feel at all as overweight as I appear in the photos. My least favorite photo hangs on my fridge to serve as inspiration.

Sometimes even after we look at the recent pictures the fat lady still looks back at you...I had lost 75 pound years back and was at my perfect weight and still when my pictures were taken I saw her again. Than I gained it all back with the strange reality in my head that said once fat always fat. We may never see the beauties we are. But believe in yourself and what you are doing is right and a scale nor measuring tape don't lie.

Just remember - what you see is less of you than when you started. It's a slow journey, if it was easy, we could just decide what we want to weigh before we go to bed and wake up in the morning at that weight.
