Addie Aline's Journal, 25 July 2015

I hurt so bad yesterday I didn't even log my food but did ok. I guess the last few days caught up with me. You would think I would learn not to overdo but my mind doesn't listen to my body so my Fibro is bad and of course my back had to get into the act too hoping it won't last too long. I'm like everyone else I don't have time to be laid up. But I'll take it easy today too.

I'm still wishing for something other than eggs or meat for breakfast, I'm thinking about a low carb (2-3 grams) bread from some recipe but I'm afraid it might not stick with me long enough. I read somewhere that for my height 5ft 3.5 in & yes that .5 is important to me anyway I should eat only 500-700 calories. It's hard to know what to do there's so much information out there and it doesn't always agree. One will tell you not enough will put you in starvevation mode and another says there's no such thing. Sometimes you feel like your stumbling in the dark. But on we go.

Wow - sorry you feel pain today - I could not stay eating that low of calories regularly. I average about 1200 a day. and exercise 4 days each week...if I did not exercise, i bet i would have to cut way back to keep losing.

Thanks for all the comments, I don't think I can only eat 500-700 calories very long and yes coconut oil is wonderful if I do the LC bread thing I'll probably spread some on it. I do like shakes for supper they keep me full until bed time.

Addie, how do you use the coconut oil? I see alot of people use it. I have never tried adding it to my diet. I do put it on my dogs food though as it is good for their skin and coats.:)

Kiwinana, I use it when cooking eggs, if it's melted because my house is warmer than most I drizzle it over what ever I'm eating. I don't put it in my coffee like a lot of people do. If I'm making a recipe that calls for oil I use it or at least half. I buy organic, cold pressed. It's good for your skin and hair. Whipp it until fluffy with a fragrance you like for your skin. Put it directly on your hair for 1/2 hour before washing, it's a great conditioner.

Thank's Addie, that must be why my dogs love it. I used to cook with it years ago and stopped when they said it was really bad for you. I just can't envision putting it in my coffee when I don't know what I am doing with it. I will give it a try when I research. :)

I think the difference is how it's processed. I won't put it in my coffee.
