Friday. Yes. I have a little extra time this morning because I am not carpooling with the husband today. We've been carpooling to save money on gas but that means I have to be ready to roll out of here no later than 6:15 am ... quite a feat to exercise, make breakfast, fix lunch, shower, get dressed, take the dog out, fill the water tank ... no wonder I'm so tired all the time!! LOL!!

I am getting my hair spruced up this morning. Just a trim, maybe update the perm, nothing radical. But still, it will feel good. I have a few things to do at work but no appointments today. The one I had cancelled yesterday and I must tell you I'm not upset about it!!

I have no idea what I weigh because I haven't stepped on the scale. Overall though I feel pretty positive about my reboot status. There was one evening, night before last, I ate many more "snacks" than I needed but I did record them all and still had a deficit on my diet calendar. At some point I'll weigh again but as long as I am "on track" I feel like I can do without the emotional stress related to the disappointment or false joy I feel when I look at the number it produces.

And so the journey continues on. Each day. Each moment. I'm excited that I get to spend a couple days with my dearest non-related friend in the world this coming week. The week following I'm gone almost all week to a training in Boise, leaving on Tuesday the 2nd and returning the evening of the 5th. That will be good too ... though more tempting with food. I always struggle when I am out of town. I have done it successfully though in the past so I just need to get my mind right before I go. There is a decent elliptical at the hotel I'll be staying at and they have Exercise TV so I will have no excuse NOT to exercise. Drink plenty of water, continue to be mindful ... I can do this. My reward will be feeling well and having a wider choice of clothing in my closet!!

Grateful ....

1. for this place where I can blather on about this and that
2. the building excitement of chattycathy's impending nuptials!!!
3. friday and payday ... always a good combination
4. sleep (I almost overslept again this morning ... only woke up once last night ... felt so wonderful!!!)
5. all of my buddies ... those still here and those absent ... who have so touched my life!!!

Carol your morning routine is quite impressive! All that done before 6.15?? I would be tired too lol! You seem to do really well with your eating and exercise, this is great. Keep going! I'm sure the few days out of town won't be a problem, even if you eat more calories you have the opportunity to work them off. Have a great weekend!
