So thankful for the broken plateau! Finally! I've started walking in the morning (except for the past two when it's been pouring down rain) AND at night. That has helped. I've also cut back on the artificial sweetener and went to plain water instead of flavored. So far so good..

Since being diagnosed with diabetes, I have been relentlessly trying to read up on different diets, lifestyles, etc. in the hopes of trying to come up with a lifestyle change that will help me lose the weight and reverse this disease.

EVERYTHING that I am reading says that no matter what diet you're on, if you're not working off more calories than you're putting in, you won't lose weight. Doesn't matter if it's fat calories or carb calories. I have also found that no matter what diet you're on, you will put the weight back on and more if you don't make a lifestyle change and make it permanent.

That being said....I do eat carbs (gasp) just not all the time or very much when I do. It was strange for me to eat a cup of pasta, when before it would have been a whole plate. I do eat fat, but I am trying to eat more of the healthier fats. That's hard because I LOVE my butter.

The point of all this is to say that you can eat what you want. In MODERATION. Just exercise and be logical. Don't tell yourself you can't have something. That's the first way to get my rebellious butt to do it anyway. Just say you can, but you choose to be wiser about it.

Off soapbox now... thanks for listening. Have a good day 'errbody!
