15,215 steps yesterday. I will break 70,000 for the week!!

Didn't get as much done outside yesterday as I hoped it rained lightly until about 2:00. Spent most of it shopping for garden supplies, in the rain. It was warm out so not bad and it wasn't enough to turn the ground into mud. Of course a few interruptions talking to neighbors out walking as I was working.

Bought some lovely GMO free tomato, herb, and pepper plants at a favorite vendor at River Market (open air market in downtown KC). Also some organic fertilizer to try. Filled the car with a new gate, plants, bags of mulch and top soil, still need to do a quick run for compost this am and a stop at Sprouts. I ran out of room.

Annuals and some new perennials were planted in the front gardens. The front yard still needs some mulch spread on the beds right along the house. I want to clean the gutters out first as I'm sure they are filled with maple twirlies from my tree.

The tree pollen is decreasing, it's nice getting to taper off on the allergy meds. I also broke down and bought some chemical weed killer to get rid of the poison oak and ivy in the corner of my yard. Nothing else has worked, I hate to use it but I'm tired of getting into it every year. I decided a bit of spray may be better than massive steroids to get rid of my reaction to it.

70000! That will be awesome! Good luck with your garden too, love the fresh veggies. I usually don't do very good in the garden department, but my garden is growing really good this year ;)

I'm at almost 64,000 and still have today to go. Glad your garden is doing well. My perennial herbs etc are doing great, my bed of greens and scallions are doing great, until the hot weather rolls in. I need to start in today on the warm weather veggies and a few additions to my herb beds.

Sometimes you have to do what you must to stay healthy. I am glad to read you are enjoying your garden.

Yup! agreed, I have given into meds for allergies and asthma: I have to keep breathing. I have had 2 friends die from asthma at young ages. Really a huge wake up call. I really really need to get rid of those dang poison weeds. Too windy today to spray it, I need a calm day.
