I don't get it.. fat free dressing, of course! read the label, most are loaded with sugars and chemicals!! Why the emphasis on salads, certainly they add greens and veggies but they often leave you hungry!! So you go hunting for munchies!! I eat mostly plant based so my lunch is normally something with beans and grains, something substantial to get me through the rest of the day. If I do a salad for lunch it normally has grains or beans or both added to it.

Mudbug, FYI there are studies out there saying that starvation theory is a myth unless you get extremely low. Everyone's needs are different depending on weight, build, and activity levels and other health issues. An arbitrary one size fits all number of 1200 is actually not accurate. With my plan I eat extremely healthy and have trouble reaching an average of 1000 calories a day. Blood tests etc come out terrific! Take it or leave it with a grain of salt. Not trying to start an argument. Just like eating at certain times of the day makes a difference...NOT.

When you eat too few calories, your body goes into "starvation mode" and stores up fat for future "dry spells". As crazy as it sounds, you're better off eating 1500 to 1700 calories per day. Add a simple 15 minute walk for additional cardio. Best of luck!

It is best if a person does the trial and error with their own body. A lot of factors go into weight reduction. Unfortunately, it is not just calories in, calories out that works. Amounts and type of exercise plays key roles, as well as types of food eaten. As an extreme example: 100 calories of veggies versus 100 calories of cheese will have different effects. Age certainly has a bearing. What I could do in my 20s won't work now :) As your body gets used to one plan of action, you need to change it up. High carb, low activity to low carb, high activity might help or High calorie/Low calorie zig zag days. Whatever works for you!!

Wow you guys are awesome! :) Thanks for the input~ I will consider everything that you all have shared. I do love Stir Fries, and I did a fresh veggie stir fry tonight. I love whole foods, and that is the route I will try and stay on. I will increase my Caloric Index bit! I like the idea of adding more foods every other day. Thanks again my F.S Buddies~ God Bless~Ann (A Big Smile)
