You got this, John! This is an act of self-care: we don't do it because we hate our body, we do it because we love our body and want to take care of it. It's so simple but also so hard (esp in our 40's and beyond). You've got great momentum and the trick now is just to keep it going with consistency.

You got this. Find what works for you. We are all so different and it took me many trial and errors to find something that works for me. I hate cardio and so the strength training and following a macro's diet that is high in protein is what works for me. But there are so many out here doing other things that can really inspire you from boxing to biking. I love the diversity! Every day is a new day so if you slip up and eat too much don't give up just start over - make every day count you are worth it!

You've got support here. Take some time and read other's journals, bios and posts. You will learn a lot and find comfort knowing you are not alone. I've been here for 6 months and while I've reached my goal, I'm not jumping ship. I still log every single bite and plan to continue. You got this! You are doing great!

I just went through a 2 week plateau where I didn't lose a pound!
the fact that I hovered around 700 calories a day made me think that was the reason....metabolism at zero, fatigue at 100%. I am diabetic and my fbs was 75_85 each morning, so there's that. I have lost 35lbs since Sept, and on track to reaching my goal weight by Memorial Day. Wish me luck!
I hope you all reach your goals, you can do this!
