I went to the gym, and while I was waiting for cycle to begin, i got the bright idea to go to the 30/30 class (30 minutes of high intensity cardio followed by 30 minutes of strength training). The workout was GREAT, but again, the music (or musak) was much too subdued for my taste. There was no motivation/inspiration to keep up, and at LFF, we could yell and shout back and forth with the instuctor. I could have put my MP3 player on the floor and heard it louder than the music in the class! Again, not to knock the workout, I'm sufficiently sore. BTW, it amused me to note (on my way out) that there was bass bumping (full blast) from the cycle room! LOL. I should have follwed my first mind!

wow, your 30/30 class sounds great in theory! Too bad they didn't PUMP UP THE VOLUME!!! Yeah, try the spinning class--it's definitely gonna be jammin'! :) I hear even the most athletic people complain about feeling sore--and great--after their spinning workout! Good job trying these new things out! It's inspiring for me too..

Yeah, DEFINITELY follow that bass beat! I like to feel it reverberating through my bones. Gets me motivated, too. You crack me up with the "musak" remark. "Yawn!", huh. Haha.
