Walked my typical 3.3 miles yesterday with dogs along for 2.6. Today was my normally scheduled off day.
FINALLY got my taxes done. And, I also managed to groom both dogs so they're in good shape to go to "camp" when we take our trip. Bathing them when we get home is so much easier if their coats are in good shape prior to kenneling.

It was the first time using the highly-touted DeFurminator on my dogs. My Collie guy had been in a foster home prior to us adopting him. His foster mom ran a small kennel/dog training/dog grooming business. She fostered a LOT of Collies and she swore by the DeFurminator. Due to the cost, I opted to use what I already had, but after 2 years and seeing a sale on the item, I decided to give it a go. I'm sold! Better than my slicker brushes, better than my rakes, just overall I can get more dead coat off him with less effort. AND, he doesn't seem to mind it either, which, of course, is THE most important part! LOL!

Ha, ha, Paula...."camp" is what we call going off to a kennel. Just sounds so much better! Just returned from taking the doggies on their walk for today, as we're off to "camp" within the hour and I wanted to be sure they're relatively well-exercised before being more confined. And, yes, my Collie feels much better (so does my Lab, but it's a different coat, entirely!).
