I read a really interesting book rich in knowledge called Dr. Joshi's Holistic Detox. I really recommend you check it out as I've learned a lot from it that I didn't know. I stopped drinking coffee as I've learned the stimulating effects of caffeine make your andrenal glands and thyroid glands weak and sluggish, and prohibits your body's ability to wake up naturally among other things, even though it's considered to increase metabolism. I've also learned that, even though spices are great for increasing metabolism, they also make your blood Ph levels very acidic which makes your body strip calcium ions from your bones to neutralize the acid effect, which in turn causes osteoperosis.

I could but I have no idea about your height and what kinds of food you eat. All I could say is not to lose more than .5-1lbs a week or 2.5lbs a week max as any faster would slow down your metabolism. The reason why you're probably struggling to get lower than that is because your metabolism has slowed down. If you don't cheat a lot try having a high carb day but still mix in some healthy fats and protein. If your metabolism is just slow I would recommend shocking your body by doing something new. If you're doing low carb try increasing the carbs and decreasing the fat. What I reccomend is 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fat. I've done that the whole time and I've never been hungry a single day of my diet because I know the exact amount of calories I need to burn fat and not muscle/metabolism. losing too much is BAD NOT GOOD!

If you need to increase your metabolism still, trying drinking coffee (wouldn't recommend it) eat green, red, or yellow peppers, add moderately spicy foods like black pepper on most of your food if you can't stand spice. If you love spicy food then go nuts as this will improve your metabolism. Like I said before, spicy foods are acidic but if you're goal is to lose weight then it's okay to momentarily do so.
