Losing weight is 90% nutrition, 10% excersise. So if you're sweating your hair off but eating crap, you're not getting anywhere. Start from 2k calories a day every day, if you gain weight lower it a bit. If you lose weight faster than 2.5lbs a week, raise it a bit. Keep doing that until you reach the sweet spot of losing .5-2.5lbs a week. I recently tore my hamstrings and couldn't do cardio and didn't lift weights for 6 weeks. I still got shredded because diet is that important.
