This is the trail I get to walk everyday for exercise. I walk other trails too. Theere are lots and lots of trails around here, short and long, but this is my favorite trail. Kevin marked it with a cairn for me. The trail starts and ends literally right at our front door. This is Imperial Dam gym. 😊 Lots of the campers out here go to the same gym, and it's dog friendly too! 😁 🚶♂️. .. .. .🚶♂️🐩🐕 . . . . 🚶♂️.. . . 🚶 .. . I'll miss this trail when we leave here. We move in just 16 DAYS!! 😟 Luckily, there are lots of trails in our plans for this summer, including a trail around Devil's Tower in Wyoming! It turns out my gym membership is transferable, so I'm golden. 💪😊 The desert treated us to another lovely sunset this evening. I'll miss the sunsets here too.

We went to Devils Tower two summers ago and loved it. Walked around it and kids wanted to climb it.

Beautiful Lonnie, but I'd miss the trees. Louisiana is so GREEN (as is East Texas, where I live now). 🌳🌳🌳

Although there aren't nearly as many as in your neck of the woods, there are actually several species of trees out here, Shir. They're mostly in the low lying washes where they get more of the scarce water. The trail picture here shows the top of the mesa where there are fewer trees.

Devil's Tower is a neat place...been in WY a lot since living in MN - an easy road trip

I'm jealous and living vicariously through your pics. BF has promised a road trip as soon as we're both vaccinated. We'll probably just hit the backcountry here, but it's so different than the coast and I love it. In the meantime, adventure on for me.
