Day 2 of my mental "training zone" for these 2 weeks. Will I stick with it is the big question! I am trying!!
I had a great day of exercise yesterday as I listed. The weather will be a record warm of around 60-65 which is very exciting. I will head outside today to run. I did run outside again this weekend as it was warmer, but the wind about blew me away. It feels harder to run outside than on the treadmill in some ways. It's probably b/c of not a perfectly flat surface.

I have been recording points again this week and got a little frustrated with that yesterday. I ate beautifully all day and still was over my points after dinner. (I don't count my activity points so I probably was actually in them, but I don't want to count those in.) I probably need to add in a salad or steamed veggies at each meal as a substiution for another type of side and that usually helps a lot. I just don't want to feel like I am failing when I consciously made all healthy choices all day long. That is frustrating!

I do feel a little thinner this morning and my weight is heading back down after my usual weekend up. I really need to break that cycle. It has been keeping my weight practically unmoving since the summer! I really want to stay in this training zone mentality. I also noticed when I ran yesterday that my tummy was feeling like a weight pulling me down a little. If I can get rid of as much of that as possible, then I think that will help me all the more in speed.

Well, hope you all have a happy, healthy day and will push yourself in some new way today in your workout!

I've heard people say that if you're training for a long walk or run, you should train on natural surfaces instead of the treadmill so you'll get used to it. I think your body takes more of a pounding on the streets than on the treadmill (they usually have some 'give' to them). Enjoy your beautiful day! I hope it's not as windy!

Thank you for the "buddy invite." I am looking forward to interacting with you. Good luck with your pre-race training! I admire you for running since that skill lies far beyond my comfort zone!

Getting creative with how you I use my points is the only way I can stay within them some days. Those low point and no point foods really have added value by allowing us to "spend" our points elsewhere. Running outside does feel harder to me, too. I think it is because you are having to push off from the ground more when you're outside because the "ground" on the treadmill is already moving on its own. Plus the wind does add resistance. But that can be a good thing! My weight loss has slowed a lot over the past 8 months. But the good thing about slow weight loss is that you are "putting in time". And any habit that is carried over a long period of time has greater chances of "sticking". Keep up the great work!
