gilliansings's Journal, 15 February 2014

I had a good day. Woke up relatively early, made a nice breakfast. Did my Move Free Strength training dvd. Can I just say "Owwuuhhh?" I know it will get better every time I do it. I wanted to go for a walk, but it was pouring rain and my earlier exercise had me limping (spinal impingement flaring up), so I had to skip it.

Had a church group potluck. It's lucky for me that so many of the members are either vegetarian or just healthy eaters in general. I ate very modest servings and skipped the lasagna, but treated myself to 1/2 a piece of the Great Harvest honey wheat bread I bought for the potluck. I had a tiny piece of boysenberry pie, but took off the top crust and skipped the ice cream.

I had planned on skipping the wine altogether, but someone brought champagne to celebrate publishing an e-book, so I tried about an ounce. I'm glad I did because I had never heard of Pino Grigio Champagne! Unfortunately, unless there is an occasion with others around to share it, I don't think it would keep very well. I'll stick with the occasional glass of regular Pino Grigio or Pino Gris.

I went over on my calories by almost 200, but I had been under by 200-300 for the past three days, so I'm not too worried.

Weigh in tomorrow for "12 lbs. by Easter" challenge. Fingers crossed!

Great job! Very proud of your progress and potluck success. I often eat before those events in order to cope. Those social events can be the hardest. Fingers crossed for an Easter Challenge loss!!

See? This is what I love about this site. You are 100% honest, publishing not only every single item that passes your lips, but also your inner feelings about how you handled the challenges of everyday life. And people get it! They actually read and appreciate what went in to keeping on track. I love you guys!
