3.3 miles walked this AM even though it was only 41 degrees - which is rather cold for here, esp. with the wind.

I'm definitely NOT liking my new scale, as it's staying about 1.5-2 pounds heavier than my old one. DH, however, says it's doing just fine by him. So, I guess it's just me and I have to face that extra amount.

I stopped the s/f candy yesterday and the aerosol whipping cream as well. Today, I held off until I added the whipping cream to a Jello dessert about 4 o'clock. But then I skipped the Atkins bar for today. I've had a bad case of the munchies/hungries for quite a few days now, which is part of the reason to drop the s/f candy. Hard to believe that just 1 piece could be a trigger, but... I'm not hungry for off-plan food, but I'm hungry for something like peanuts or a lot more steak.

NOTE ON TODAY'S LUNCH: Wanted to eat up the last of the getting-old spaghetti squash. Measured all portions. Couldn't eat it all for lunch, as 7 oz. of squash is a LOT of squash, so had the leftovers for dinner along with the salad. Total amount eaten is correct, just not logged in 2 meals.

I've had very sore thighs from doing Stairmaster, even the little I do it. Days later I can still feel a tired ache in the muscles. Not debillitating, or anything like that, just an ache beyond what I'd think would be a reasonable muscle recovery.

Today I'm feeling very unsettled. I HATE being in the 180's and this scale (or me) adding 2 more pounds onto my journey thru the 180's has just really ticked me off. With this "new" weight, I've basically stayed the same for an entire month. Yeah, I know all about the "inches might be coming off" deal. I just feel I "deserve" to weigh less based on what I'm doing. Can I do more? Can I bring my foods more in line with the plan? Of course. It's just that I don't wanna have to do more; I don't wanna make even more changes. Great example of my childish attitude that got me in trouble and gaining weight in the first place.

Ah well, I guess I'm all vented out. Maybe after a good night's sleep I'll get my mojo back and locate my adult attitude that's MIA right now.

Sandy, it can be so frustrating when we work so hard and the scale doesn't move....then when you get a new scale and the dad gummed thing adds 2 pounds....well, it is enough to make the most patient person have a bit of a childish attitude!!! Great job on the exercise, and hopefully the scale starts moving in the right direction soon!!!

Hang in there Sandy. You are doing a great job. I think your body is trying to catch up with all the great eating. Sometimes it takes a bit for it to move in the right direction, but it will. If you want my 2 above zero this morning, I will gladly take your 41 degrees? Hang in there my friend. Remember, you are getting healthier every day you eat healthy foods. Thanks Stef & Laurie. I'll pull through this. I'm waiting on a pest control service now (just routine, no infestation, LOL!) and then it's time to get ready to go to the thrift store. But later today, I'll be taking another look at my foods and deciding on some adjustments. I saw some I could make last night, but decided to just go to bed instead of giving them serious "analysis." And thanks, but I'll keep my 41 in lieu of the 2 above. Actually, today, it's about 33 and it's 11 o'clock.
