Well--back below the 230 mark (again). When eating right makes me feel so good, why is it so appealing to eat wrong and feel bad? I am so very easily swayed to the "dark side".

Ain't that the truth. I went through the same thing. Now to the point that if I get the URGE, I can stand back and ask myself if I really want it and look at what I've lost. I have a horrible fear of gaining it all back. Keep it up. You'll become a pro at this weight loss thingy.

ClassicRocker you have come a long ways!!! Congratulations. Your advice is great except I somehow skip over the step of "I stand back and ask myself". Instead I go from URGE to SPLURGE with no thought or time in between. So how do I slow down enough to add that step??? ClassicRocker you have come a long way! Congratulations!!!! Set a goal for yourself. What do you want out of your life? How to live it. Want to wear smaller size clothes. How you want to look and most importantly, how you want to feel. I feel great with the exception of the scare with my heart a couple of weeks ago. Which is absolutely fine. I have TMJ. I want to live long enough to aggravate the hell out of everyone. That's what I told my cardiologist. Look at other posters diets and what they eat. If I only ate cottage cheese for breakfast, you might as well shoot me. It's not enough. A good breakfast for me is a piece of fruit, 3 fried eggs with 1/4 cup of shredded cheese melted on them and 2 cups of coffee. There are lots of ideas here. Don't give up. KathyW

classic rocker, i have tmj as well and that it the worst pain ever. i had to get all of my teeth fixed to get rid of it. $$$ thousands of dollars worth of dental work was worth it.
