Also, in addition to what beth mentioned, I've noticed that even on the days that appear to be low carb that the carbs eaten are the wrong kind. The TYPE of carbs you eat matter just as much as the amount of carbs.
Just the fact that you mention that you're "starving" is an indication that you're not doing Atkins correctly. Are you tracking absolutely everything you eat every day? How much water are you drinking? Are you eating low carb candy, bars, or shakes of any kind (like Body By Vi)? Those stall and in many cases stop a person's weight loss altogether. Have you read Dr Atkin's book, or are you just trying to "do Atkins" relying on what you've heard/read from others? (My opinion, the 2002 edition of the Atkins New Diet Revolution book is best, and actually written by Dr Atkins--the newest book isn't).
