Another day down! :) I made it through work without eating any donuts or pastries!

On another note, I have a question and I am hoping someone out there can help me. I have been walking on the treadmill for an hour every day for the last 3 weeks. I have even started to jog a bit (20 min of the 60) to try and switch things up, but I feel like this still isn't enough. So, today I started 10 Minute Trainer. Does anyone have any idea how I should log this in my exercise? Thanks in advance.

I got myself a watch that racks your heartbeat and then tells you how many calories you burn during the exercise. That way I don't have to guess. Good job on the donuts, my weakness is the glazed ones. Glazed anything.

I think Kathy is right on. I am moving more. It does seem to curb my appetite anyway - I was in the pool she had us take our pulses and mine was over 140 from moving in the pool, which is really good to get one moving. I know in a year I will be much trimmer.

I gave up donuts, but I liked Boston creme and jelly the most. I do have a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee in the morning if I am dragging around. There are two within a quarter mile of my place! (But a McDonald's and Wendy's too) - used to be McDonald's food was better over a decade ago, Wendy's has really improved things. Their food is much better - same price. I don't eat fries anymore but I do like McDonald's the best with that but otherwise Wendy's is better. My favorite place is Arby's but thankfully the nearest one is not nearby - about seven miles away by Turnpike and I don't drive...

I live in the middle of town and have several fast food restaurants within walking distance of my house :( McDonalds, Arby's, Taco Bell, Captain D's, 54th Street, Fazoli's, Dairy Queen, Qdoba, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's, Dominos, to name a few. If I hop in the car and drive 2 miles, there are more! It is almost maddening. I am just trying to stay focused. :)

You need to live out where I do. You have to drive 20-30 minutes one way to get to a fast food restaurant. By the time you get in the car, pick it up, and drive home the food is cold, tastes like crap and next time you don't want to cook, you just do it anyway. It saves a lot of time that way.

Ha, ha - Kathy. I am less than a quarter mile to a Wendy's and about a quarter mile to McDonald's. Burger King is only 1 1/2 miles away. And numerous pizza shops around too a Subway is close by but I am sick of their food. Wendy's is OK to have a thin bread chicken sandwich, I order a baked potato with it (believe me it's small) and a diet drink.
