I selected Atkins because there isn't a Keto listed and in 1975 I lost over 40 lbs on the Atkins diet and I kept that weight off for many years. I weighed 175 when I started and 128 is the last weigh-in I remember so my current goal is to get back to that "start" weight. (grin)

I love this program in that it keeps me accountable when I get the "weigh-in" email and the photo I posted is from July 2017 in Canada then last month in the Keys. So, better but plenty of room for improvement.

I'm on the 2nd day of a two day cleanse and them I'll jump on the induction so I plan to greet the New Year a pound or two under that darn 200 mark.

There is an option called low fat/high carb-ketogenic diet which is what keto people use or Atkins which is still good. Welcome back . You are already looking great.

Welcome back!!! I'd love to be at the 200 mark but stuck at 216!!! Fasting right now.

I was also on Atkins quite a few times on and off! I think that is a problem that I couldn't stay on it as a life eating plan! My cardiologist suggested a whole food plant based low fat diet which I'm now losing on and because of having so many options I feel it's more of a way of eating and not a diet! I've lost weight on both plans but the low carb is too restrictive for me! I am a diabetic and yet with this plan I am eating potatoes and rice and corn! Beans/lentils and homemade cornbread! If you might be interested look at Dr Esselstyn, Dr McDougall, Dr Lyle and many others that believe in the whole food plant based eating plan to bring us back into health as well as maintaining a healthy body weight! I am 71 and my husband and I are enjoying this plan and my Dr sent me for labs and said my A1C is doing great and I told him I was eating a lot of potatoes and was just cutting out the oil and butter and sour cream and just using a little salt, onion powder and garlic powder and they're delicious! So, just listen to some of the Drs I mentioned on YouTube! I hope you will think about it! We've always been told that we should eat fruits and vegetables and of course more greens and the older ways are the healthiest ways when people didn't have meat for every meal! I'm just so happy on it that I want everyone to give it a try!

I've been doing Keto for over 5 months and so far I've lost 53lbs .. and still going.. Just keep doing what works.. for you!
