I have 'impinged' a muscle in my shoulder, and the tenderness in all the related muscles is where they are trying to take the strain off the inflamed one. I have some stronger painkillers and am being referred to physio. Swimming backstroke and playing badminton (and possibly archery too) will be out for a time while it recovers. Luckily walking is always an option - as long as my hips don't decide to pack up on me now!
