Lotus's Journal, 01 July 2008

I definitely feel the winds of change blowing now.. I've gotten back to working out every day(no matter if it is a short amount of time I have) and even though I ate low fat BROWNIES(made with low sugar devils food cake and a can of pumpkin, one egg white) for dinner last night, I told that voice in my head that said, "well that's not on the diet plan..you might as well eat this and this, etc" to TAKE A HIKE!! I 'm not hungry anymore! So what if it wasn't a healthy dinner. I don't do so daily, and this time I stopped when I was full, and stayed out of the kitchen thereafter!
I can tell I am getting back on track because in spite of not-so-great choices, I didn't blow it or eat until I felt stuffed. I hate that feeling and want to avoid it like the plague!!
The scale was down a little today so that's good..wasn't much but I'll take it. As I work back up to where I was fitness-wise, I'll HAVE to up the nutrition to have adequate energy! I have confidence I can do this, no more spikes on the chart from crazy high calorie days.
I am going to work on cutting the negative self-talk. It is the root of my downfall many times! I have come a long way and though I have been stuck for a while, I'm far from where I started and shouldn't beat myself up so much. I won't allow myself to balloon up again like I did before.
I know what to do and I will do it!
Hopefull this attitude will stick with me today..dn't ya hate it when ya start out the day right and it slowly deteriorates as the stress of the day wears on? I will do my best. Everyone have a good day, ok? :) Chat later!

You can and will do it! great attitude you have today i am sure it will stick w/ you all day! how were those brownies!? i so don't bake, i wish i were your neighbor today!

the brownies are really good! I like them even better than the ones I made with prunes! You can have a very decent serving for only 130 calories or so, not bad!! They are in the freezer now, but I will probably be having them as my treat daily until they are gone! Gotta make em last tho..:) They're awesome with Breyer's Free vanilla ice cream!
