The past couple days have gone well. I'm trying the zig zag diet and it's hard to keep track of my calories because I'm impatient and don't want to look food that doesn't have a label on it up online. Maybe I'll get one of those calorie counter books. I think I have about 100 calories left today, but I may have been a little over yesterday, so it's a wash really. No results in the scale yet, hopefully tomorrow, I feel a little thinner, which of course could just be wishful thinking!

Yesterday I did two TJ workouts 3T (sculpting/weight lifting) with the tube bands and the other Cardio Party 2...obviously cardio. None today unfortunately, my allergies are awful and it wouldn't be pretty to see me trying to exercise while snot is coming out my nose - sorry for the nasty imagery.

I have the next two days off work, although there are quite a few things I'd like to get accomplished since these are the only days off before I go get Greg at the airport!! Greg is coming to see me in 10 days, yay! I'm excited and wish he was already here and staying longer. Oh well, I'll take what I can get.

Work is going well I spent the weekend printing off some datalogger reports. There is a monitor in the exhibit rooms that records temperature and humidity. A laptop is hooked up to the monitors every month or so and the environmental information is downloaded. A graph of the info has to be printed a week at a time, you can wait and do this but because there are a lot of these to do in accumulates, so I was catching up on printing from the end of January through end of April. I also cataloged about 20 artifacts, which was fun, I enjoy that. Today we were trying to find some information about the floor in one of the buildings (gun shed) because it is gravel right now and gets really dusty and there are some people that don't believe it would have been gravel, but stone and we need documentation to prove that either the stone was replaced with gravel, or what type of floor was there before, but no such luck and we looked through the archives which have the building contract information.

Ok, so I guess that's about it, hope all is well where everyone else is and that your eyes aren't itching like mine!

Calorie counting can be such a chore but it is one of those things that once you get the hang of it, it gets easier and easier. There are some things that you eat all the time so you don't always need to look those up. It's like with Weight Watchers. At first you are constantly looking up the points for everything and then, eventually, you remember things and it gets less time consuming. Your job continues to sound very interesting. I hope you enjoy it. Wow. Greg is coming sooner than I realized. Keep up the great effort and get those workouts in when you can. Take some antihistamine for those allergies, too!

Why don't you just try keeping the food diary updated? It does all the counting for you, and doesn't take too long to do once you get into the swing of it, especially once you start saving your favourite meals. I tend to plan out my meals a week at a time, a week in advance, so I tend to enter all my planned meals into the diary and then just make any last-minute alterations that occur as the happen. It works for me, although I will admit I am a bit of an obsessive! There's definitely something odd that happens with the pesky scales - they just don't seem to be able to keep up at times! However, if you're feeling thinner, then I'm sure you're looking thinner, and the scales will have to admit defeat sooner or later!! Gosh - Greg's visit has come up so quickly (probably not quick enough for you though!) - hope your allergies calm down soon! :)

calorie counting is exasperating, isn't it? I hope you find a way that works for you.
