I'm supposed to be at 1039 cals for today according to this zig zag thing, and still have about 150 too use...I'm not hungry though! I'm not sure how I'm going to do these 1400+ days - that's a lot of food! So I made this chicken pot pie thing from the recipes in the Extreme Fat Smash book and I think it would have been better if I had made it as a fold over like they say rather than a pie, but still good and it's just me so it didn't have to be pretty. Of course getting it out of the oven I burned my arm and there's a nice red welt there.

For some reason my stomach is not being kind to me since I've been out here. I'm not sure why, but I feel nauseous a lot and no I'm not pregnant. I don't think I'm sick. Today I did feel a little faint though, so maybe it was because I was overheated. Who knows. So I didn't exercise after work, but I really wanted to, it's not just an excuse!

I've been looking at graduate schools and trying to apply to those, it's so time consuming and I have no idea where I want to go. I'm trying to factor in good schools for the program(s) I want and places Greg and I would consider living while I'm in grad school and after - just so we don't have to move a whole lot right away. I say programs, plural, because I'm looking at getting two Masters degrees at the same time, probably for library science and public history.

Anyway, so that's been my life the past few days!

Could it be a change in the water?? (or are you drinking bottled) My stomach is really sensitive to different waters in different areas...I can get extremely sick from it. =S Upping cals: nuts, p. butter, avocado dips... hmmm... I'm sure there are others Oh yeah, yogurts! :) Good luck. Hope your tummy is better soon!

Ya, like bullytrouble said, pick more calorie dense foods on the higher calorie days so you don't have to eat "more" food and overstuff yourself. And it could be the water or other change of environment factors that are causing your tummy upset. And TWO master's degrees? Oh, to be young and ambitious again! Bravo for all that drive you have, my dear. You are a force to be reckoned with!

I thought about the water BT, it may be. I did buy a Brita water filter pitcher and am doing that for drinking water, but not cooking. thanks for the ideas I do have some peanuts and trail mix I'll have to remember for high cal days. mbhpro: I know, it IS going to be a lot of work, but I enjoy school and I really think they will help with my future career, whatever that may be, lol!

I tend to top off my calories with a nice big mug of hot cocoa at the end of the day (made with 12 fl oz of skimmed milk and 1/2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa). It works out at a little over 100 calories, and not only gives a good calcium boost with a hint of chocolatey naughtiness, but I've also read that low-fat dairy can help reduce body fat. Just Google "low fat dairy weight loss" for some articles. Hope you feel a bit better soon!
