Kedrake18's Journal, 20 March 2019

So...back again. Kinda got a wake up call when my primary care physician rec commended looking into weight loss surgery at my appointment last week. I'd rather not have the surgery. I'd rather do it on my own. But I'm kinda in a catch 22 situation where exercise is concerned. I fell while doing yard work in Feb 2018. And kept ending up at the doctor's for steroid shots to help with inflammation roughly every other month for about 6 months. Turns out I had injured my sacroiliac joint on the right side when I had fallen last spring. I ended up doing 8 weeks of physical therapy over Thanksgiving and Christmas, but almost tripping and catching myself caused it to flare up all over again. I'm currently dealing with daily pain that fluctuates in severity. Walking stretches it out, but turns into very painful joint inflammation the next day to the point of bringing tears. And I'm already on a daily regimen to help with the joint pain.

So I'm going to try to change up my diet first and see if I can bring some pounds down that way. And attempt to add some exercise, which will be trial and error to see what my joints will allow me to do but still leave me able to go to work and take care of my family. Carting my 30lb toddler doesn't help it either. I also get muscle spasms in my lower back, so wish me luck people I'm going to need it. I'm at the highest weight I've ever been. Doc's scale said 390, but I'm going to weigh in tomorrow morning on my own scale so I have an accurate number from the scale I intend to use.

1. Cut the junk, eat more veggies and fresh fruit, make better choices.
2. Cup of green tea a day. Water intake is already over a gallon a day.
3. Trial and Error exercise. Feel the burn, learn to love the pain.
