That sounds like the keto diet, so there should be a lot of resources out there. I found a good one that was called the 21-Day-Keto-Weight-Loss-Meal-Plan-Free which was a free booklet with shopping lists that I found very handy.

There is a group already for people with diabetes, I belong but I don't think people post much in the group.

I am having success with my diet and my blood sugars are lower than when I started January 2. January 2, I just started with lower carbs, but now I eat high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet. I eat between 1200 and 1400 calories a day.

Hmm. Gotta say I wouldn't just eliminate meds without my doctor backing me up on that. It might be great to make an appointment. Tell the doctor that prescribes the meds that you are planning to lose weight. And then tell him/her you would like to decrease/eventually get off the meds. See what they say. Not knowing which meds you are on I can definitely say talk to a professional rather than follow advice of a book. Sometimes the meds can keep us alive until we are able to lose the weight.

stay on your meds until Doc indicates otherwise.

Good good! I quit all my meds without talking to a doctor...once. Won't do it again but...that being said, I also quit those doctors! I found a doctor who was much better at working with me and figuring out what worked for me and I was definitely able to decrease those meds! I'm still taking too many but doc thinks that with some weight loss I can "lose" a couple more meds too!
