I was thinking back to all the times I've tried losing weight before and why I failed. I still can't pin point it exactly, and it could of been a few things really. One for sure is that I always feel so overwhelmed with counting calories or making sure I get to the gym for so many hours a week and follow my fitness routine exactly. And if I failed that I would just stop all together.
This time around I'm going to make a couple small changes every week, and really focus on them.
It's the middle of the week already, but that's ok. This week I'm going to replace my juice and pop with water. Also I'm going to exercise at least 30 mins a day.

Staying motivated can be the hardest part. I used to do the same thing, if I didn't get my workout in one or two days, I'd quit and feel like I was never going to lose. I've learned to cut myself some slack and that has helped a lot. I'm not so stressed about losing, it's more about getting healthy, not just losing weight. And, if I miss a workout it won't kill me, I'll make it up tomorrow and just adjust my scheduled workouts accordingly. Those small changes you're making will really help you and I'm sure you'll be successful!

I need to remember it's about being healthy, not just looking good!

I started out by eliminating my diet coke and adding exercise to my day by walking. It helped me a lot for the first month and I haven't had soft drinks since March now. I still walk as part of my exercise routine, but now I do other things as well. Baby steps will get it done! :)

FS is really keeping me motivated. It is so easy to keep coming back to buddies that are on your side. I also find it pretty easy to track food/exercise here so I do it daily. Besides being inspired by several buddies here I found a web site or 2 that have given me the "guide" to make it easier to be me. One is a blog called "CanYouStayForDinner" and the other is Mark's Daily Apple. I'm sure there are lots out there but these 2 really did it for me. Just take what you need from what you read and go easy on yourself. Best Wishes to you!
