Jozette99's Journal, 25 August 2012

What a day, nothing worked out as planned.
Got up early and had in mind to have my grocery shopping done by 11am. No chance. I fired up my computer and here was a skype call. took about 2h and my morning was almost gone. shopping after I met with my friends. Will do house/cat sitting this week and needed a refresher course. Shopping after.
Breakfast was weired. I did not feel like cooking xome eggs so I had what was available. Brie, Cheesecake and some almonds.
Lunch - I skipped that. After grocery shopping I just had one of the Atkins bars. Not a great meal but no time for more.
Back home, everything unpacked, need to eat something solid. Then continuing preparing.
Normally I prepare the main dishes on Sunday for the week. Saves me a lot of time and ensures that I stay on track. This cooking needs to be done tonight since I will go on a boat trip with my daughter tomorrow .
Not enough with the cooking, I will also prepare a picnic for tomorrow. Changed my mind three times on what we are going to have while I was out grocery shopping but think I got it right now. All that is left is fixing it.
Besides cooking I need to tend to my laundry, pack what I need to carry over to my friends and then I can relax. I guess at that point I will be dead tired.
Even forgot to take my meds in the morning. Had to do it in the afternoon since I did not want to miss a day. They might keep me awake :-))))

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying the last days of summer.

Sounds like you had an enjoyable day just the same! I had a similar experience - people coming and going all day - did not get any of my planned projects done.

Sorry to hear that but it is nice to have people around though. I will get everything doe, just delayed ;-) casserole in the oven, chicken frying... next is the slow cooker, that does not take any effort. then guacamole and at last some wraps. No, not all for the picnic, most of it is for next week *lol*

:-)))) - walked along a boardwalk once an we had low tide. One guy said, "now I know what this reminds me of - mom's broccoli casserole". I was laughing so hard would have never had idea, especially not in combination with the smell. Everything that reminds me of the sea, the ocean I love. Seaweed, oysters (quite interesting the differnt flavors depending on where they come from), fish, clams, you name it I love it.
